SoFIA Youth Services…

This service is provided through our Foster Grandparent Program which focuses on pairing seniors who wish to teach and/or mentor tomorrow’s community leaders. The SoFIA Youth Services provide tutoring and mentoring to students with special needs or that are “at-risk” to increase academic engagement, promote literacy and to help them develop social/emotional skills throughout Title I elementary schools and childcare centers. These services help seniors with their quality of life and simultaneously help our young students thrive as they learn how to read and tackle STEM classes.
